FAQ
01
I specialize in candid Portland wedding photos and Montana wedding photography, but I offer destination wedding photos wherever you're in love. This year, I'm booked for weddings in Montana, Oregon, Washington, Cape Cod, plus multiple international destinations. Reach out for a specific wedding quote in your area.
04
Do you shoot weddings outside of the Portland area?
Yes! I'm a Portland photographer but I love to travel and am available to shoot anywhere! I've shot engagements and weddings in Switzerland, Spain, and specialize in wedding photography in Montana. I offer international wedding packages for couples tying the knot overseas. International wedding photo packages start at $5000.
07
Do you offer engagement sessions as part of your wedding packages?
I love shooting engagements (and especially engagement photos on film) and I'm always available to capture your love outside of weddings. If you're looking for an all inclusive wedding photography package, reach out for detailed rates and options. Looking for a custom package to fit your individual needs? Amazing. Let's chat.
02
How many photos do you deliver in a wedding gallery?
The simple answer: hundreds. The specific number of photos depends on the length of the shoot and if you're opting for digital, film, or a mix of both. Full film wedding galleries have fewer photos than digital galleries. In general, an 8-hour wedding gallery will have at least 250-500 edited images.
05
Do you deliver RAW or edited photos?
You'll receive hundreds of individually edited, high resolution photos. I individually select and (honestly) agonize over the edit of each photo I deliver and for this reason I don't deliver RAW photos. The final photo gallery is a visual story of the day and I strive to give you a polished final product.
08
Do you offer prints or wedding photo albums?
Yes! When I deliver the final photos via a link to an online gallery, there's an option to order prints directly through the gallery. The prints are high quality and well priced and come in a variety of sizes and paper quality. I also offer custom wedding photo albums that I design specifically to match the vibe and aesthetic of your day. Reach out for more info on pricing.
03
What's the wedding photo payment and deposit process?
In order to secure your wedding date, the first half of the total payment is due upfront. The second half of payment is due two weeks after the date of the wedding. Please note your wedding date is not held until the deposit is received. Payment plans are always available, reach out for more info.
06
What is your turnaround time for getting back the wedding photos?
I prioritize a high quality final gallery over a fast turnaround time but you'll still get your wedding photos within a month of the wedding day (and often much sooner). If you go with a film option, you'll receive your film gallery typically within 1-2 weeks of the wedding. Digital galleries take an extra 1-2 weeks for final delivery.
09
What is your approach to capturing family and group portraits?
I like to prioritize candids, so my favorite way to photograph groups and family portraits is when you're naturally sharing moments together (getting ready before the ceremony, sharing a toast and a hug during the reception). I also recommend a short intimate group photo sesh before or after the ceremony if you want to ensure you get the portrait shots with the important people in your party.
